Cancer screening conference

Mar 24th, 2009 • Posted by Alain Lambert • Category: Orne Council, Videos

Tomorrow evening there will be another public information meeting about screening for breast cancer and bowel cancer.

Wednesday 25th March at the Forum in Flers, at 8.30pm!

One more meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 31st March at the Salle des fêtes in Ecouché

As part of cancer detection, doctors depend on word of mouth; “You’re the right age for cancer screening, go and see your doctor…”

To capture the attention of the public, the County Council has organised an unusual way of getting across the message about screening - with a piece of theatre. The Bleu 202 theatre company has written a series of funny sketches which are designed to shatter the myths around screening and to dismantle the barrier that can exist between doctors and patients.

Remember, screening is indispensable - it’s free and it saves lives.
