Orne County Council is proud to host the very first edition of The Spring Photography Festival (Printemps Photographique de l’Orne); an event devoted to the art of the image, to its vibrant and vivacious beauty and the currents that flow through nature and through our hearts. Images that are not fixed, simply captured in their moment of truth. How could we not treat the public to such delights; to these emotions, these captivating adventures, these unforgettable and extraordinary encounters?

It’s in this spirit that the photographer, Pascal Quittemelle, knowing my enthusiasm for innovation and images, proposed his seductive project - Printemps Photographique de l’Orne. A festival dedicated to esteemed artists, the perfectionists of the everyday, and also to their instruments – those fantastic jewels of technological wizardry of which I am so fond. I wasn’t able to resist for long!

How pleasurable to find this gathering of professionals and to have the opportunity to share their universe through their journeys and their encounters with people from around the world. Tolerance, respect, humanity, passion and generosity delicately fashion their work – on the path through life, light and colour.

Enter, dream, imagine, savour and exchange in complete freedom. Let the subtle and bewitching song of authenticity rise up and captivate you. Sabine Weiss, Eric Boudet, Thierry Arensma, Patrick Bard, Angélique and Guy Bescond, Zeng Nian, Martin Schreiber and Christian Vallée, poets of the eye, pixel-magicians and eternal lovers of sepia all hear it magnificently!
