RD17 due to reopen 29th April

There was a landslide onto the RD17 near Saint-Pierre-du-Regard during the night of 17th March.
Work has been under way to secure the site and remove dangerous rocks which are in danger of falling onto the road.
From the 14th to 17th April holes are being drilled to enable the installation of 40mm metal trusses for holding in place the remaining rocks, and for the installation of a protective mesh along the cliff-edge to stop small stones and debris from falling.
The road will be blocked until the 29th April, when a contraflow system will be put in place to allow traffic to start using the road.
