Social Services in Flers
Every year the County Council puts on exhibitions at its Social Services offices in Flers. The exhibitions are usually themed on social issues and are organised in partnership with the Centre for the Rights of Women and Children ‘Centre d’information des droits des femmes et des familles de l’Orne (C.I.D.I.F.)’
The exhibition “Racism - from prejudice to discrimination” runs from 4th to 14th May 2009.
This exhibition is a benchmark in the effort to educate against racism. It comprises of 20 panels and is divided into three sections entitled:
- A single species, the same origin
- Systems of racial discrimination through history
- Day-to-day discrimination in our society
The exhibition concludes with information about the different ways and legal processes for combating racism.
