31 years in the service of others and of his town, and a life dedicated exclusively to the well-being of his fellow citizens and the success of his district, which is so dear to him. Such is the career of Jacques Martineau, Mayor of Putanges-Pont-Ecrepin and Vice-president of the Val d’Orne CDC*, who was toasted this Saturday in warmth and friendship. Alain Lambert presented him with the Medal of Honour (la médaille d’honneur d’argent régionale, départementale et communale) at the mairie in Putanges.

It was a moment of true emotion and of particular pleasure for Alain Lambert, who found himself once more amongst the core members of his campagin team from the Putanges by-election.
Those present shared a glass and discussed plans for the future in the district.
