Too many talents remain undiscovered in the department: translators, journalists, tele-secretairies, designers, copywriters, programme developers…  working from home either as employees or self-employed.

Often these people have arrived in the Orne from elsewhere looking for a better quality of life in the country - often from Paris but also from other parts of the country or from abroad. They often arrive with an existing client-base, but in order to help them find new clients in the area, Orne Développement has published a leaflet listing some of the teleworkers in the Orne.

This leaflet is the first step of a wider project to promote the county as a ‘terre de télétravail’. The Orne positions itself as a pioneer in this field, offering as it does not only a high qualitity of life but numerous services for teleworking, almost global braodband coverage and speedy access to Paris.

The Council would like to thank the Chambers of commerce and industry, the Pays, the Echangeur Basse-Normandie the Zevillage network for their help in this project.
