Baby-sitting service

The BIJ (Bureau d’information jeunesse) launches its new baby-sitting service!
This new service allows young adults and parents to get in touch in order to organise baby-sitting. Currently available at the BIJ offices, but soon to be online, the directory allows parents to find the right person to look after their children, quickly and easily.
The service is free and open to young adults over the age of 16.
The BIJ will verify that :
- that youngsters who sign up have parental consent where necessary.
- that prospective employers are correctly insured for “civil responsibility”
Child-care lessons
From september onwards the BIJ will be holding baby-sitting workshops aimed at young adults and run by childcare professionals
These lessons will teach:
- Stages of development in children
- Safety and accident prevention
- Hygiene, feeding and sleep
- Activities - games and going out
