concert_Anne_Marie_Hue.jpgOn Saturday 7th November, Orne Council hosted a concert with ‘Jehanne Loz’, the nom de scène of Anne-Marie Hue, singer-songwriter, music teacher and choirmaster of the Schola de l’Orne. Over 300 elected representatives from across the department were able to discover the immense talent of this local artist, and to visit the newly extended and improved Luciole, which now ranks in the top 45 major cultural centres in France.

This private concert was the final date of a 10-day residency which Anne-Marie and her group undertook at la Luciole - over 100 music students were able to discover the careful preparations needed before a musical performance.  On Thursday Anne-Marie also hosted a question and answer session with students from colleges in Alençon and Argentan, which was followed by a guided tour of the buildings with Loîc Lecomte, artistic director, and an introduction to the various career opportunities in musical production. Friday evening saw Jehanne Loz playing to a full house with an end-of-residency public concert.
