Golf competition cancelled

The Golf competition which had been organised for this Saturday (16th May) at Bellême Golf Course has had to be cancelled, as there were only 11 competitors signed up.

Big ideas at the Haras du Pin

Laurent Beauvais, President of the Basse-Normandie Region, Alain Lambert, President of Orne County Council and François Roche-Bruyn, Director of the National Haras* met on the 24th April to discuss plans to develop the scope and site of the Haras du Pin.

Orne County Council honoured the best local breeders and trainers in horse racing and equine sports. It took place during the annual Stallion Parade at the Haras du Pin on Saturday 7th March. Among the stars of 2008 were 8 thoroughbreds, 8 trotters and 7 Selle Français. Also featured were the impressive Percheron draft horse, emblem of Le Perche in the east of the county and Norman donkeys.
